Project Summary
The aim of this project was to move beyond a human-centred perspective of urban waterways to consider the ways in which humans and non-humans such as plants, animals, algae, and sensors are inter-related and interdependent in urban rivers. It experimented with novel creative methods for engaging a range of stakeholders to consider the needs of other species in urban space, and how other species might participate in urban decision-making through emerging technologies and data. As part of this project, we produced a film and an experimental data visualisation of multispecies river ecologies.
